Real Madrid have identified Neymar as the perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports from Spain.
The Portuguese has been struggling for form this season, and has failed to net for the La Liga giants since the Club World Cup in December.
And as a result Real Madrid who are currently fourth in La Liga, 19 points behind rivals Barcelona have been feeling the full effects of Ronaldo’s dip in form.
Zinedine Zidane is under pressure to act, for the sake of his job. The Real Madrid board and the club’s fans demand perfection.
Neymar has been linked with Los Blancos for some time, despite him previously being a Barcelona player prior to his big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain.
There have been numerous reports that the Brazilian is unsettled in France, and would apparently consider a move to Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants would be required to break the bank to land Neymar, after PSG parted with a world-record £199million to sign him in the summer.
Spanish publication AS are reporting that Real Madrid are so keen on signing the Brazilian this summer, they will include their mercurial Portuguese in the deal.
This could see Ronaldo heading to Paris for the remained of his career.
Whether PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaif would consider this deal remains to be seen, however, after he dismissed Real’s interest in Neymar last month.
