Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after agreeing personal terms with the Gabon international.
The Gunners are reluctant to let Alexis Sanchez join Manchester United without a replacement and Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s part in a swap-deal is in doubt.
Aubameyang, 28, was left out of Dortmund’s squad to face Wolfsburg on Saturday after he skipped a team meeting and reports in Germany claim he’s handed in a transfer request. Arsenal are said to have offered Olivier Giroud to Dortmund in a bid to soften the blow of losing Aubameyang, as well as £30m.

The Gabon international is, for his part, keen on a move to the Emirates and the Mirror claim he’s agreed personal terms with the Gunners.
Arsenal have refused to deny speculation that they’re closing in on Aubameyang and he’s likely to become one of the club’s top earners in north London.
Mkhitaryan’s agent, Mino Raiola, confirmed today that the Armenian is holding up Sanchez’s move to Old Trafford because he’s yet to decide on a move to the Gunners.
Should Mkhitaryan accept his part in a swap-deal, he could line up with former Dortmund team-mate Aubameyang at the Emirates.
